Has Satan Already Been Thrown Out Of Heaven Or Not?

When Will Satan's Accusation Be Stopped Against A Believer?

Question : Has Satan Already Been Thrown Out Of Heaven Or Not? When Will Satan's Accusation Be Stopped Against A Believer?

Answer : Greetings in Jesus wonderful name! I believe there are at least three heavens above the earth.

1. The first is the atmosphere above us (Gen 1:6-8).

2. The second heaven is the stellar heaven, the sun, moon, and stars (Psa 8:3).

3. The third heaven is where God resides, above the other two regions which is also called Paradise (1 Cor 12:2).

When Satan sinned in the beginning when the world was created and took one third of Angels along with him to form a separate kingdom against God, immediately he along with his gang was thrown down to earth as disembodied spirits in judgment for which they brought chaos against the project earth and heaven which God was creating at that time (Job 38:4, 6-7; Gen 1:1-2; Isa 14:12-14; Ezek 28:16-17; Rev 12:4). Satan lost his access to heaven totally with this first fall.

Because Satan and demons were all part of the plan to serve men on earth (Heb 1:14), the rebels along with their leaders did not have body to show themselves before men and initially had no right to control man who was put over the whole creation as a manager to take care of it under God (Gen 1:26-30; Psa 8:4-8). Initially man was under God, angels were under man to serve both God and man.

When God tested Adam and gave him opportunity to voluntarily demonstrate his submission to God by obeying the word he commanded (Gen 2:16-17), Satan had his cunning idea to trip Adam in to disobedience and through him take control of the dominion over the whole earth that God has given in to the hands of Adam already. As Satan saw that the snake was more cunning than any of the beast of the field which the Lord God has made, he negotiated with it to bodily use it and reward it with more power once he achieves his mission (Gen 3:1). Through the snake Satan reached out to Eve and convinced her to put to test the Word of God which was disobedience to God (2 Cor 11:30; Gen 3:2-5), once Satan reached Eve, immediately he convinced Adam to eat the forbidden fruit in disobedience which he did eat, and from that point of time Satan took control of the power and dominion that God had given to him (Gen 3:6-7; Rom 5:12; 6:16; 1 Tim 2:12-14; Luke 4:6). Because Adam with his spirit within him had access up to the third heaven under God, Satan again took authority of Adam which was directly under God, and legally re-positioned himself in between God and men to gain access to the third heaven from which He was thrown out by God.

That is why historically in Job the first Book of the Bible we see how Satan was able to come among the sons of God which were the good angels and show himself up before the Lord's direct Presence (Job 1:12), and also could comment on people and receive the power from God to steal, kill and destroy Job's family and his property (Job 1:6-12; 2:1-7; John 10:10). Though Satan uses the power of God to cause destruction on earth, yet he is like a leashed dog in the hands of God who can go only as far as God gives him permission to do so, beyond which he will not be able to do anything (Job 2:3).

Satan moved against David when he was tested by God to prove his faith and refine his fault line of pride (1 Chron 21:1; 2 Samuel 24:1). It was the sins of the nation of Israel along with the sin of pride in the heart of David its leader that made God to let loose Satan who filled his heart and made him say, 'Take census and count the total which was against the word of the Lord until He commands it for which also is required a ransom offering for each person before it can be started' (2 Samuel 24:1; Exo 30:12-13). That is why David was “conscience-stricken” after he counted Israel. David knew it was wrong and begged God to take away the guilt of his sin (2 Samuel 24:10). The Bible says, “As for God, His way is perfect” (Psalm 18:30). If God’s ways are “perfect,” then we can trust that whatever He does—and whatever He allows—is also perfect without fault though we may not understand how with our finite mind. The same God who allowed it felt compassionate with love and mercy for his people to say enough to his judgment and command his angel to stop killing once his justice was done with his rebuke (2 Samuel 24:16).

Satan also accused the servant of God Joshua the High Priest standing at God's right hand as man's representative before God, and the Lord rebuked Satan and made those around Him to immediately clothe him with rich robes instead of filthy garments (Zech 3:1-5).

So from the above we see that God allowed Satan to represent humans before Him, from the humans he deceived and took authority over them to make them act according to his whims and fancies and make them do his will (John 8:44; Eph 2:2). Yet Satan only gives suggestion through the fleshly heart and then we as fallen humans without God are tempted and enticed by our own desires, then we fall in to sin which leads to death which is again separation from God's goodness (James 1:12-15).

Jesus was born as a perfect human and as the last Adam who was without sin like the first Adam before the fall, made Satan move against Him fearing that He might lose his authority over humans (1 Cor 15:45; Matt 4:1-11).

Jesus partook of humanity's flesh and blood to destroy Satan's hold over humanity and bring God in friendship again to all humans (Heb 2:14; John 20:17). Satan failed to hold his existing authority that he took from Adam over Jesus because he had no sin and did no sin even when tempted by Satan consistently through the time of his fasting and prayer in the wilderness and even up to the time of His death on the Cross (2 Cor 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22; Luke 4:13; Heb 4:15). Jesus learned obedience to the perfect will of God through suffering in the flesh, then praying and supplicating to God for overcoming it rather than giving in to sin the easy way to disobedience (Heb 5:8).

When ever Satan stood up with his power to dispute with Jesus or His ambassador's who carried it during the time of His earthly three and half years of ministry, Satan again and again fell from heaven by God not granting power over them because of the direct power of heaven that came through Jesus' sinlessness and also His disciples who received power from Jesus' power of attorney to use it against Satan (Luke 10:17-20).

From the time Jesus came out of wilderness, Satan's hold over humanity was at stake as the power of God started flowing through him. Satan and his demonic tyrants must have thought that if we could kill Jesus and prevent Him from walking on this earth through his death, then they with their leader Satan could regain the authority over humans again indisputably (1 Cor 2:6-8). But Satan and his minions very plan to make Jesus die on earth through executing Him on the Cross made them all sign their own death warrant of judgment before God for all eternity (Col 2:13-15). When these Satanic wisdom thought that by making Jesus die they will be able to bruise His heel or break it completely to prevent Him from walking on earth any further, the wisdom of God judged sin in the flesh and condemned it having become sin for all humanity He liberated them from the power of Satan forever and thus Jesus bruised and crushed the head of Satan who thought that he was the wisest on earth and none can defeat him (Gen 3:15; Acts 26:17; 1 Cor 1:20-25).

Did Jesus indicate of the loss of this power of Satan over humanity or give an hint about it?

Yes indeed, Jesus said few days or hours before His death on the Cross, "31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” 33 This He said, signifying by what death He would die." (John 12:31-33). In other words Jesus has said that God is going to deliver those who believe Jesus as their Lord and Savior once He dies for them on the Cross, from the power of darkness and will transfer them all in the kingdom of the Son of His love through His death on the Cross which actually represented that symbolically all of them who believe Him were also dying on the Cross with Jesus to be delivered forever from their sin, and when Jesus rises up again alive it will be like they are no more in their sin because in God's eyes at that time they will have become the very righteousness of God in Christ Jesus who has become a substitute for them before God (Col 1:13; Rom 10:9-10, 11-13; Rom 6:2-5, 6-7; 2 Cor 5:21).

Satan was officially cast out of heaven by Michael and his angels as he had no power over the humanity except that which they give to him through indulging in sin and bidding to do his will on earth in rebellion against God (Rev 12:7-11). Satan now have no more power now to dispute with the good angels who work for God like in the times of Old Testament when he exercised unrestrained power to even dispute with Michael over the body of Moses (Jude 9). The heavens have been cleared of withstanding power of Satan and his evil angels which they were using against the good angels of God like in the Book of Daniel where we can see how the answer to Daniel's prayer was delayed because of demonic principalities standing against the angels of God to deny them a entry in to the world system to convey the news that God had sent through them (Dan 10:12-14).

Now the devils wrath is against the inhabitants of the earth and the sea because he knows that he has only very short time left after which he himself will be dislodged by Jesus from earth for over a thousand years and after which also he will be let loose for a very small time and then will be thrown in to eternal fire where he will be tormented forever (Rev 12:12; 20:1-3, 7-10; 2 Cor 4:4; Eph 2:2), as they have have lost that indisputable power that they exercised in heavens in the past times during the Old Testament days, and now instead all the spiritual blessings for the Church from heaven stands ready in the heavenly places in Christ ready for it to be utilized and demonstrated to all the evil spirits on earth (Eph 1:3; Luke 10:17-20; 2 Cor 10:3-6; Eph 3:8-11).

Also now the Satan the dragon saw that he has already been cast to the earth by Jesus and his angels from his indisputable authority in the past which he took from the First Adam when he sinned, he has started to persecute the people of God [i.e. the woman] who gave birth to the male child Jesus (Rev 12:5; Isa 66:7-9), the people of God the Church has been given the hope of resurrection by Jesus and the rapture before the wrath of God could be unleashed on earth (1 Thess 4:14-18; 5:9-11; 1:9-10; Rev 12:14). So for this reason the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the people of God, that he might cause the Church to be carried away by the flood of filth of the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life in which the love of the Father is not there (Rev 12:15; 1 John 2:15-17). But the earth which is one which holds the saints in sleep because of the flesh through which Satan operates sinfully to gain power over them was busted when the earth opened its mouth and the death was swallowed up in victory where the sin nature of the believers were forever thrown off to go to heaven to hold on to only the new nature of God forever with all liberty to live in it joyfully for eternity ahead (Rev 12:16; 1 Cor 15:54; 2 Cor 5:8; Rom 7:5; Gen 3:19). The dragon Satan and his minions will be enraged against the woman who are the people of God in the Church more and more because they will not be able to retain them in their sins forever because once they die, they are swallowed by death in victory over their sin nature instead of retaining them in death for it (Rom 6:23). Finally as the Church get raptured up for the 3 1/2 years when it was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly in to the wilderness to her prepared place in the Father's house (John 14:1-4; Hos 2:4; Jer 31:2-3), where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the Presence of the serpent (Rev 12:14), will further make the serpent Satan to directly wage war with her off-spring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ during the time of the Great Tribulation (Rev 12:17; 13:7-10). These off-spring also will rise up in resurrection when Jesus comes to the earth to rule for a thousand years and they will rule in His earthly temple along with him for a thousand years (Rev 20:4-6).

Then in what way was Satan actually cast out of heaven when Jesus died on the Cross? Now Jesus has become the official Mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5), and therefore Satan who had power of death to make people on earth fear him has lost the key of death to Jesus who rules over the entire universe with God's power (Heb 2:14-15; Rev 1:18). Satan was cast out without power over those under the Kingdom of Jesus (Heb 2:16), except what they give to him because of giving in to the weakness of their flesh, and he uses it against them until they voluntarily confess it to God and get cleansed by the blood of Jesus (Heb 2:17-18). Once a confession happens Jesus as their advocate can immediately speak to the Father God and intercede to again help them overcome their weakness of the flesh and the sin it caused to be drawn away from God's light in to darkness for sometime (1 John 2:1-2; 1:7, 9; Mic 6:8-9). Jesus has the right to extend God's mercies to any man in this planet earth because He Himself is the propitiation for our sins and for the whole world, and he has the power over every situations of life to decide who should live and who should die as He is the living God (Matt 28:18).

When Jesus is the one sitting right now on the right hand of God in power (Mark 14:62), Satan cannot accuse the believer legally any more before God and overcome them as Jesus holds the power to forgive them of their ongoing sins. Every time a person confesses his sin to Jesus the high priest for the whole humanity (Heb 4:14-16), then Satan is cast out of heaven immediately and they overcome him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony spoken boldly against Satan and his demons when they come to accuse within them in the flesh, by saying to them, 'Yes I did sin, but the blood of Jesus have now cleansed me (Rev 12:11-12).' Those who overcome as believers are those who will not love their lives to the death to do and fulfill the will of God for their lives which is to live by faith (Rom 1:16-17).

Now because all believers are spiritually seated with Christ in the heavenlies, Satan and his minions are under them (Eph 1:18-23; 2:4-7). We do not overcome him now by fighting or striving, but by faith we overcome him as Jesus has already defeated him completely. Now Satan goes before throne to accuse believers, when they voluntarily give in to temptation and in to weaknesses of their flesh without confessing it to Jesus over a period of time who is our lawyer to justify us before God. Also Satan goes on behalf of unbelievers to receive power from God and deceive them to keep them in darkness and continue to lead them in rebellion against God as their leader. God still allows a believer to be tempted but not beyond his capacity to handle it (1 Cor 10:13), for us to be tempted Satan must be given permission and be allowed by God to tempt us (Matt 6:13; Luke 22:31-32; John 17:15). So Satan must still be allowed in the heavenlies by the Lord to work under His instruction (See 2 Chronicles 18:18-21 for a similar situation involving a “lying spirit.”). We find on certain occasions that Paul was not allowed by the Holy Spirit to go precisely where his heart would have led him, yet at other times he was compelled by the same Spirit at other place to go and speak (Acts 16:6-7, 9-10; 17:16, 18; 18:5). But at a particular time Paul said, “Satan hindered us” and thus is and will always be the testimony which all the saints in heaven will bear against the archenemy (1 Thess 2:18). When is the time Satan stops hindering the work of God? None...because Satan know that his time on earth is very very less than ever before. When God’s servants are active, Satan is not without vigilant legions of demons who seek to counteract their efforts. But these work of the evil one cannot be done without God giving his permission for Satan and his demons to challenge his servants and the Church at large to try their faith and purge them from the evil nature of self and get them blessed with eternal reward (2 Tim 3:10-11, 12; 4:17-18; 1 Peter 1:7-8; 2:21-23; 4:12-13, 16, 19; James 1:2-3; Job 1:12; 2:6).

Now especially when we believers live in unforgiveness against someone who have hurt us forgetting that God has forgiven us the unforgivable in us which is the sin nature inducement to sin (2 Cor 2:10-11; 1 Cor 10:12; Gal 6:1; 1 John 1:8), He expects us to forgive others infinitely just like He did towards us or else when Satan appeals before God and accuses us of our unforgiveness towards someone, God in His justice will allow the demonic torturers to come against us to make us forgive others or even die for our continual unwillingness and stubbornness to forgive someone and be conformed to God's image (Eph 4:32; Matt 18:21-22, 32-35; 1 Cor 5:4-5; 11:30-32; Matt 6:14-15). In other words, Heavenly Father God will “turn . . . [us] over to the [demonic] jailers to be tortured” spiritually, soulishly and physically even up to death sometimes (Matthew 18:34), if we refuse to forgive anyone who has offended us and stay stubborn in our self-will denying the Lord who owns us to work through us (Luke 17:1-4; Matt 5:23-26; Luke 12:57-59; John 14:26; 1 Cor 6:19). Now it is God the Father who personally will give permission to a demonic torturer who belongs to Satan when he appeals to afflict a unforgiving believer who stay stubbornly in that state, for these things to happen the appearance of Satan in the Presence of God to get permission is essential which shows that Satan and his demons still have access to heaven and will be completely thrown down at the mid-point of Daniel's 70th week, after which Church will be raptured and the rest of the off-spring of the people of God who will be saved at that time will go through the Great Tribulation for their faith and will be rewarded immediately with a place inside the temple of God to serve Him day and night for a thousand years (Matt 24:15-28; Rev 12:13-17; 14:12-13; 7:9-17; 20:4-6). Get my point clearly, I do not say that the Church will go through the Great Tribulation, but rather anytime after that Mid-point of Daniel's 70th week the Church will be Raptured, but those who get saved after that supernatural rapture-event will go through the rest of the time of the Great Tribulation to die as martyrs or live through it if God willing until Jesus appears on earth to establish His thousand years rule in it. Jesus through out the Great Tribulation will reveal Himself supernaturally to all those who seek Him like never before and multitudes will get saved supernaturally like that and be faithful until death or be alive in faith helping their brethren until Jesus comes again to this earth.

Jesus' ministry of His revelation to His disciples continued for three and half years and the clock stopped, His further ministry to the saints will happen during the other three and half years of the Great Tribulation and will end in the fulfillment of His return to the earth at the end of it to reign in it for a thousand years along with His Church saints (Rev 12:6, 14; Dan 12:6-7, 11-12; 9:27).

All this activity of Satan visiting the Presence of the Lord God and presenting himself among the good angels of God will come to an end from the time of the abomination of desolation [i.e. Mid point of the Daniel's 70th week referred by Jesus (Matt 24:15; Rev 12:6)] in which Satan the dragon along with his angels will be cast out to the earth forever, during which he will furiously come and try to keep the Church on earth to persecute it, but the rapture will happen and they will escape from the flood of filth that Satan will spew out through the Antichrist and his deception at that time (Job 1:6-7, 12; Rev 12:13-17; 2 Thess 2:1-12). Satan will be thrown down to the earth completely at Mid-point to no more to go to heaven when it is “a time, times and half a time” left. This places Satan’s fall to earth in the middle of the last seven years of this age (Rev 12:14). Though Satan and his evil minions have been cast to the earth after Jesus rose up from the dead, but only he will fully realize that he has been thrown out of heavens forever only when he will be prevented from entering the heavens at all after the mid-point of the Daniel's 70th week. The first happened 2000 years ago when Rev 12:9 says, "Satan....was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." The second instance of Satan's self realization of this effect of no possible entry in to heavens will be seen once the last 3 1/2 years of Great Tribulation starts where in Rev 12:13-14 John the apostle says, "... 13 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. " In other words, the moment the self-realization about his fall to the earth to be given no more permission further ever to enter the heaven comes, he will fully direct his wrath against the Church who is the woman by going after it physically through Antichrist (
Matt 24:15-21), immediately God will give two wings of the great eagle which is the new glorious body given by the Holy Spirit to make the whole Church to fly away in to the wilderness of God's comfort and love to be kept away from the direct presence of Satan till they all together with Jesus will return in power against all evil (Exo 19:4; Deut 32:11; Rom 8:11; Hos 2:14, 16). The woman who has been persecuted all the time by Satan since its existence for 2000  years, at this point of time after Mid-point will not be allowed by God to go through any more trials or tribulations but rather it will get raptured once Satan comes against it after its permanent fall from the heavenlies to the earth (Rev 3:10), but the woman's offspring who are Tribulation saints who continue to be saved believing the gospel declared by the angels and the self revelation of Jesus through visions and dreams through the Great Tribulation, will be under the direct attack of Satan through Antichrist but their faith and love for God will supernaturally be stronger than death (Rev 14:6-7; 13:10; Matt 24:14, 29; Acts 2:17-21; Rev 6:12-17; Song of Solomon 8:6, 7). Glory to God!

Much Blessings....
